How can we be certain the Resurrection really happened? Is it anything more than a fairy tale? Are Christians who believe in the Resurrection exercising nothing more than “wishful thinking”?

Cold Case ChristianityFor more information about the reliability of the New Testament gospels and the case for Christianity, please read Cold-Case Christianity: A Homicide Detective Investigates the Claims of the Gospels. This book teaches readers ten principles of cold-case investigations and applies these strategies to investigate the claims of the gospel authors. The book is accompanied by an eight-session Cold-Case Christianity DVD Set (and Participant’s Guide) to help individuals or small groups examine the evidence and make the case.

One question from practice. Some people try to explain certain parts of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus by throwing one explanation for each. For example about some they claim psychological, about others they claim he was thrown into a burial place with multiple bodies, etc. I generally share the gospel strictly word for word like in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 and then unpack depending on the need of listener. But how to I unpack when someone shards the explanations into different pieces? Of course one could do this presentation, and go one by one through all points. On the street that might not be approachable. If there is any suggestion it is appreciated. (It follows that if there is no suggestion then one has to do this presentation, which is fine.) Thank you all your efforts. Bought all your books and looking forward to buy whatever comes our way from your ministry. One caveat, we are in Australia. (I am thinking of finding the funds to invite your ministry to speak in Melbourne, Lord willing.) My favorite elevator pitch: “have you studied the scientific, forensic, evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ?” Only one worthy comeback in many years: “hey, you made a logical fallacy, you affirmed the consequent.” My come back is to add the word “alleged” in front of resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
