    Good discussion, thank you! It seems the question couches it as adultery vs. homosexuality and states that adultery is in the 10 Commandments, suggesting that God explicitly highlights adultery vs. homosexuality. However, as one considers that God said marriage is one man and one woman, homosexuality is outside of God ordained marriage and is, in fact, adultery. I would say that homosexuality falls under the category of adultery.

    The discussion failed to draw out the crucial distinction between inclination – a person who is celibate ‘same sex attracted’ and someone who is having, or is willing to have, gay sex. Many people grow up gay, and can hear material such as this as condemning them for who they are, for what they are tempted by but seek to resist. Such individuals need to hear, again and again, that they are in the right place, so they don’t beat themselves up about being tempted.

    By contrast the person in an gay relationship is NOT in the right place…
