For more information about the scientific and philosophical evidence pointing to a Divine Creator, please read God’s Crime Scene: A Cold-Case Detective Examines the Evidence for a Divinely Created Universe. This book employs a simple crime scene strategy to investigate eight pieces of evidence in the universe to determine the most reasonable explanation. The book is accompanied by an eight-session God’s Crime Scene DVD Set (and Participant’s Guide) to help individuals or small groups examine the evidence and make the case.

While I love your books and resources, in regard to the hiddenness of God, the primary reason God is hidden or distant is due to his righteousness and his desire for all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth. As an officer you can understand that if God, who is perfectly holy and just (fair), were to come into the direct presence of a crime perpetrated by a criminal, a “good” officer or judge would have to deal with the criminal immediately. He couldn’t let me get away or not arrest him or imprison him. In his grace, God is distant so that we may come to know him, be made holy in his Son, so that when he returns in glory and power, he may call us holy sons and daugthers, rather than cast us into darkness where there will justly be weeping and gnashing. It is God’s grace, that for a time he remains distant/hidden.
